Team Moms: Thank you for volunteering to be a team mom! NGBSA is one of the largest Associations in Gwinnett County and there are a lot of responsibilities for our team moms. We thank you for your time and effort. Below is a Summary of the information given at the Team Mom Meeting.
1. Raffle Tickets: They are $10 each and we have asked that each player sell at least 4. (All proceeds go back to capital improvements for our park.) You MUST TURN IN any unsold tickets!!! We will have a seperate drawing for our players - they will receive entries equal to the amount of tickets they sell. Ticket money/stubs/unsold tickets are due no later than March 7th. (We will send an email out with the collection time.) You will need to turn in a spreadsheet of the players on your team and the amount of tickets each sold. This is so we can enter them in the drawing.
2. Uniform Delivery: In past years, Uniforms have been delivered the same night as the Team Mom meeting which was a week before opening day. In an attempt to give you more time to get organized before the season starts we have split this up. Your uniforms will be available for pick up on March 4th. Annette will send emails out to let you know what time. There are no more changes available to uniforms at this point. PANTS: You are required to get pants for your team. You may have your parents just go buy their own, or you may order them from any vendor. They just all need to match each other.
3. Volunteer Registration: There is a volunteer re/gistration link on the HOME PAGE. (At the bottom right in red) If you have not registered yourself as a volunteer/team mom please do so ASAP.. This is how we send out mass emails to you and have correct contact information.
4. Opening Day/Parade: Opening Day Festivities are a lot of fun and a great tradition at North Gwinnett. The parade will be before the games. If you wish to participate in the parade with your team, you will need to go to the Shadowbrook Church parking lot by 7:15AM to get in line. THIS IS NOT A MEETING PLACE OR DROP OFF POINT! You will need to meet up with your team elsewhere and drive ONLY the parade vehicle into the church parking lot. In the event of rain on opening day we may cancel the parade, but not the festivities. If the parade is cancelled, it will be posted on the website.
5. Team Pictures: This schedule will be posted shortly on the website.
6. Segars Jamboree: This is a practice tournament that we do as a fundraiser for a special family in our park. The suggested donation is $10 per player. It's not a requirement, but it's fun for the kids and great practice. Even if you don't know the Segars, feel good knowing that your team is getting some great extra practice and the funds are helping a family who has volunteered at our park since it opened.
7. Sponsorship: If you have a company sponsorship for your team, please go to the Sponsorship tab on the HOME PAGE for all of your information. Your sponsor can actually fill out their form online and pay via credit card! ALL Sponsorship questions should be directed to our Sponsorship Coordinator at spons@ngbsa.org.
