NORTH GWINNETT HIGH SCHOOL BASEBALL WEEKLY NEWS/UPDATE

Varsity

The NGHS Varsity Bulldogs, along with many baseball teams in Georgia, had their schedules adjusted by Mother Nature last week.  With that, the Bulldogs played their lone game for the week at Sprayberry High School suffering a narrow 6-5 loss.   The game moves the Bulldogs record to 4 – 2 for the season.

This week, the Big Dogs have a full slate of games scheduled, starting at home on Tuesday at 6 against St. Pius; Thursday in Grayson; on the road to face North Forsyth on  Friday; and returning home for a Saturday match against Mary Persons High School at 3:00.  Game time for that game is 3:00.

 Junior Varsity

The JV Bulldogs played host to Duluth on Thursday defeating them 11-1.  Jonn Bartine was the winning pitcher, going 3 innings.  Jack Clark came in and pitched 2 innings giving up 1 run.  Jeremy Burns had a big day with the bat hitting a homerun and double.  Tyler DeGuibert also had 2 hits.
