  1. 1) To identify individuals believed to be qualified to become Board Members, and to recommend a nominee to be slated for each position on the Executive Board that is expiring. In slating candidates, the Committee shall take into consideration such factors as it deems appropriate. These factors may include judgment, skill, diversity, coach parent evaluations, suspensions, past performance or experience of appointed or elected positions within NGBSA and other volunteer organizations of comparable size, the interplay of the candidate’s experience with the experience of other Board members, and the extent to which the candidate would be a desirable addition to the Board. The Committee may consider any candidate that expresses and interest in running, but is not required to do so.

  1. 2) To determine that all candidates running for a position are qualified. This would include candidates that the Committee slates and any candidates nominated from the floor at the general meeting.

  1. 3) To prepare a report in accordance with Article V, § 1 of the By-Laws of its slate of candidates. The Committee shall also confirm on the election date prior to the casting of ballots that any individuals nominated from the floor are qualified and meet any prerequisites for the position that they are seeking.

  1. 4) To perform any other duties or responsibilities expressly delegated to the Committee by the Board from time to time relating to the nomination or appointment of Board members, committee heads, or any other vacant position within NGBSA.
